Going in for the kill.

added by Free2Lurk2003 12 years ago O

The two women leaned out of Debra’s office doorway and stared at the gorgeous hunk that was now sitting at the front desk.

“Oh… my god. He’s beautiful. Debra, that site is amazing. I’m going in for the kill.”

Debra shook her head as her friend strode confidently out of the room and up to the reception area.

“Hey, Marty!”

“Hi, Gina. What’s up?” Marty tried not to make eye contact with the saleswoman. He was kind of tired of being hit on by her. While he had only been this way to Gina for about 5 minutes, his life and memories changed so that he remembered always being this way, and Gina had always had a thing for alternative guys.

“I was wondering if you wanted to grab a drink after work.”

Marty looked down at the picture of his boyfriend Chris. He was an excellent musician and the love of his life.

“Gee, I’m sorry Gina. Chris, you know… my boyfriend. He’s performing tonight and I promised I’d help him set up.”

“Oh!” Gina’s eyes widened. “Right! Well, maybe some other time, then.” She walked quickly back to Debra’s office. “Well, shit!”

Debra looked up from the monitor. “What happened.”

“Well… apparently, Marty still has that musician boyfriend.”

“You mean…”

“Yup… we have successfully created another gay man.”

“Two… apparently. I’m guessing if Marty has a boyfriend… the boyfriend’s gay too?

Gina chuckled. “Would make sense. Dammit, Debbie! I can’t even MAKE myself a hot boyfriend.”

“Are you going to make him straight or should we just change her back?”

“Oh, let’s just leave him. Who am I to get in the way of true love.”

Debra smiled. “Well, I’m going to head to lunch. Want to come with?”

“No thanks,” Gina sighed. “I’m dieting again. I have a meal replacement bar in my bag. Have fun.”

“Will do.” Debra started out, stopped and turned. “Um… I’m not sure I’m comfortable leaving you in my office with that thing when I’m not here.”

Gina pretended to be offended. “I am shocked that you wouldn’t trust your best friend.”

Debra chuckled. “Alright, but promise me you’re not going to change anyone until I get back.”

“I promise. I just want to check the site out. That way, when you get back, maybe I’ll have a better grasp of what this thing can do!”

“Okay. I’ll be back in about 20.”

Gina reached over and pulled a granola bar out of her bag. “Yum,” she exclaimed flatly. And then it dawned on her… why couldn’t she change herself so that she could attract the kind of guy she wanted? She typed in her information and there she was… a young, professional Asian woman. This was perfect! She could work it so that she never had to diet again! She was about to start playing with the settings when Myra poked her head in…

“Oh, Gina… thank god! Where’s Debra?”

“She just went to lunch, Myra. What’s wrong?”

“Ugh! There was a mistake with the shipping and the Malcolm’s order is on its way to the Meyers party and the Meyer’s order is on its way to the Malcolm’s party.” Myra started to cry.

“Don’t worry, sweetie! We’ll fix it and no one will ever know.”

The two women left the office and the computer that was still set to Gina’s information.
