Debra sat back down at her desk and saw a full rendering of Gino on her screen. Rolling her eye, she put her bag in her desk drawer. As if on cue, Gino entered her office.
“Making some changes to ourselves, are we?” Debra smiled, not even registering that her best friend was now a gay gym boi.
“I was, but then I realized that you can’t improve on perfection.” He flexed and then blew kisses to an imaginary crowd.
“Oh, of course. What was I thinking?”
“Bitch, don’t make me slap you,” he laughed. “Besides, I didn’t have time… Myra was having a crisis. That girl is a mess. I was about to go to the gym, but I needed my bag.” He indicated his duffle which had only moments ago been a woman’s purse. “But since you’re back… I thought we were going to make you a boyfriend!”
“I don’t know, Gino.” Debra slumped down in her chair. “This is all kind of weird.”
“Sweetie, do NOT look this gift horse in the mouth. You are just a few clicks away from the man of your dreams, and if you don’t take advantage of that, I will never speak to you again.”
“Oh… all right.” Debra smiled slightly. “We can always reverse what we do, right?”
“That’s my girl! So who’s the lucky man going to be?”
