Jen had a short feeling of disorientation and her view blurred.
"Inquisitor Smith, are alright?", asked a concerned male voice.
Jen opened her eyes and was again on the command bridge of the Promethean. "Everything is fine, Mal.", she said to the ex-soldier who stood next to her. "I am just glad, that we finally reached Sameter."
Inquisitor Jennifer Mercia Smith from the Ordo Hereticus walked slowly to the holo-projection which showed the planet, which they were approaching.
Sameter was an Agri World, and so it had only a small population and few cities, some villages and a space port to ship the food to the Hive Worlds of the subsector Helican.
"Mamzel, we reach Sameter in 30 minutes.", said Gorvic Larkin, a rouge trader and captain of the Promethean, "I assume that you want to go to the surface as soon as possible."
"That's right, captain. Prepared a landing shuttle. I will introduce my team to the details of the mission.", answered Jen.
"Mal, go and find the rest. They shall meet me in the hangar. In full gear."
"Yes, Inquisitor."
Ten minutes later the inquisitorial team of Inquisitor Smith was gathered in the hangar while Jen explained them the details of their mission.
There was Malcador Rehm, the ex-soldier, former member of the Imperial Guard, armed with his old laser riffle and wearing black military uniform and a flak armour without any marks.
On his left side stood Kaylee Irling, who was at least one and a half feet smaller than Rehms, a potent female psyker with a talent for pyromanipulation, she was wearing grey fullbody leotard, a grey cloak and as an additional weapon a holster with a small autopistol.
On Rehms right side stood Timothy DeFraine, Jen's young interrogator and apprentice, wearing a miliatry unifrom and armour similar to Rehm's, but with an additional cloak and two laserpistols on his belt.
Next to him was Sister Serena from the Adepta Sororitas. In her wihte and black power armour she was even taller than Rehm's and was carrying heavy bolter.
The last one was Crane Burr, a bounty hunter, who stood next to Kaylee and wears combination of an old uniform and some parts of a flak armour. He was carrying a sniper riffle on his back and laser pistol in his holster.
While Jen watched the preparations of her time she had the ffeling that something was wrong with this situation, that there was something she had forgotten. But she hadn't the luxus to think about these things. So she began with the explanation of her mission's location and targets.....
