The brothers slept soundly all through the night. They were too exhausted to be woken up by any tossing or turning they did in their sleep, and in the morning Kel was the first to wake. He had the blanket pulled up right to their necks, with his head resting against Jake's. Even though they were sharing a body, Kel was squeezing his brother tightly. It made him think of the times they would nap together when they were little, or when Kel would huddle next to Jake when they watched something scary on t.v.
It wasn't long before Jake was awake, and the pair spend the next few minutes talking and laying in bed. They weren't sure what to do.
"I don't think we can go to school like this..." Jake gestured to their body as he sat them up.
"Won't mom and dad be mad if we don't go?" Kel sounded worried and glanced at his older brother.
"It's fine, they've probably already gone to work." Jake stretched the two arms he controlled, then interlocked his fingers and put them behind his head. "So, we'll both just skip today, and do something around the house."
"Ya?"
"Ya!" Jake grinned and nudged their body in Kel's direction, "We can't really go out like this, so we can just hang out as body bros again."
"Cool!" Kel bounced up and down on the bed and gave Jake a big hug. "I love being body bros with you!"
"Ya, it's pretty fun sticking to you." They stretched their legs, and got up out of Kel's bed. They were still in their fused clothing, and Jake nudged Kel again with a big grin. "Should we wear your clothes, or mine?"
Kel thought about it for a moment then looked away, "We should probably have a shower first..." There was an uncomfortable silence and they shifted their weight from one foot to the other. "But, I guess I'll leave it up to you."
