"I know," Kelly said. "Let's put in a home theater system with a complete surround sound system, 57" widescreen TV and a top of the line DVD player."
"Your wish is mine," I smiled. I made the wish and Kelly had an entertainment center that would make plenty of people jealous.
She sprang up from her seat and admired her new toys. "This is so cool," she said. A frown appeared on her face. "I just thought of something," she said. "Everyone will want to know how I got this stuff. I can't think of anything I would say to them."
I had an idea. "It could be our little secret."
"What do you mean?" she asked, the look on her face trying to decipher what I meant.
"I'll bet that there's a way for me to hide it." The look on her face did not change. "I mean, if I can make this stuff appear, I should be able to make it go away, but only temporarily."
The change of her expression told me that she understood what I meant. "You mean, you can make it so that only you and me know it's here?"
"That's one way of putting it," I replied. "There's only one way to know. I wish that your new home entertainment equipment would disappear and be replaced by your old stuff whenever someone other than me or you is in your apartment."
"But we'll never know until someone else is here," she pouted.
"I guess you can always say you won it in a contest if it doesn't work," I retorted. "That's believable isn't it?"
She sat back down on the couch. "I suppose so," she answered.
