Jen headed to the lunch hall hoping for some respite from the festive transformations. However, he hopes were soon dashed. Upon entering the lunch hall, it was immediate that the changes were taking effect upon all aspects of the school day.
The place was extravagently decorated with Xmas items, tinsel and plastic snowflakes in abundance. Other members of the school begin to take on the changes promised by Kyle, too. The majority of students are dressed in green finery with tall striped socks, looking slightly shorter than before in their gradual transformations into elves. Some other students look oddly pale, water dripping down cold skin; those with carrots for noses suggest these were to be the snow men and women. For all Jen's woes, she didn't envy them. Two girls had branches protruding from under their clothes- the Christmas trees. Elsewhere, Jen was surprised to see several feathered students. Turkeys and geese? Jen couldn't believe that Kyle would be so evil. However, their huge portions suggested they were being fattened. Jen shuddered at the realisation of the truth.
As she came to the food counter, the lunch lady scolded her immediately. "You silly deer, get out of the lunch que! This is peoplefood, for the elves."
"Then what do I eat?" She lamented.
"You go to the feed trough and you eat with the other reindeer. Go, away with you," the lunch lady replied, shaking her ladel at the confused deer.
Jen padded over to the other reindeer girls, horrified at the site of the dirty metal trough, the surface rusted. The were two, one for water and one for hard feed. As she knelt to eat, she put her hands forward to scoop some up. However, her hands were no longer made of poseable digits; she had hooves. "Oh man, I have to eat with my face?!"
"Sure, why not?" One of the other girls said, looking up with a face dirty with feed. They all had hooves.
"It'll not be long before we all have fur", Jen mutters.
