Ryan spent days thinking over the recent developments in his life. He spoke with Snake
and the others who knew what had happened to him in private from time to time but he
didn't reveal much about how he felt. Snake decided to give him some space because after
having worn Ryan and getting to know Ryan, Snake was confident that Ryan would be more
likely to come back to him if Ryan had some space now.
Finally, Ryan made some decisions. He didn't like the idea of being a jock strap all the
time. He wanted to have a life. He wanted to go places and do things. But the idea of
spending time as a jock strap had some appeal. So he made arrangements with Snake and
he got Carter and Horst to go along with it.
They went on the road trip as planned. Whenever they stopped somewhere the Ryan

Carter and Horst had difficulty understanding their friend Ryan anymore, especially when
