"Sorry, but it's impossible."
Ryan froze. He couldn't move anyway, being a jockstrap, but whatever essence of him that was embodying this bunch of mesh and elastic was frozen in shock.
"Is like this boy. When you get haircut, and you no like, you do not say, 'Barber, give me my hair back.'"
She paused to let the concept sink in.
"Is same with transformation. There is no changing BACK. Your old body, it is gone. No more. Not existing. You are men's underwear thingie now. Enjoy."
Ryan didn't know what came over him. He started crying like a scared little kid. He was 18 years old, a star on the football team, heavily muscled, extremely good-looking and popular with everyone...
...and now...
The jockstrap in the old woman's hand continued to wail, but only she could hear.
"Oh shut up!" she barked in thoughts only Ryan could hear. "You are not man anymore! You are jockstrap! You have no business crying! No RIGHT to cry! You belong in dresser drawer or being worn. That is it. You get used to new life and leave my grandson alone!"
"Please, lady, I'll do anything!"
"You are not understanding, Ryan. Your old body is gone. This is you."
The woman turned and held Ryan up in front of a mirror. He seized up when he saw himself, dangling from her fingers by one of his elastic straps. Inside, he was still Ryan Standish. But on the outside, to the rest of the world, he was a small white jockstrap
He continued to weep softly.
"Oh, poor little underwear. Is too bad for you, no? But Vinnie transform you into excellent jockstrap. Good workmanship. You probably last many many decades if you stay out of trouble. Perhaps even longer than peoples?"
"What do I do?" asked Ryan helplessly.
"Seems to me the choices are few...
You can find safe place to live where you are taken care of and not destroyed by stupid jocks...
You can ask friends to look after you...
or I can try to change you into something else."
"Something else?!" Ryan asked suddenly. "Like--"
"Do not get so excited. I cannot change you into person. Not advisable. It is one thing to go from complex being like human DOWN to thing like jockstrap. It is other thing entirely to go from simple thing like jockstrap into complicated thing like human. I would NOT advise this route. You may end up MUCH WORSE OFF. But if this is what you wish, I may try."
Ryan tried to calm himself down enough so he could think clearly. It was too much to take in at once. Could there even BE anything worse than being stuck as a jockstrap?
Ryan spoke. He had made his decision.
