You drift off to sleep.
When you wake up, you are aware of several things:
1. You are all dog now. It doesn't feel strange or unusual to get up from your curled up position on your dog bed onto all fours. It feels. . . nice. You don't miss your morning ritual of putting on clothes at all, in fact it's just a hazy memory.
2. Your primary sense organ now is your nose, not your eyes. You smell a human nearby, although you don't see anything you can tell he is a young male and has recently washed himself in the human fashion. The soap was pine-scented, and he used a herbal shampoo.
3. Your bladder is full.
"May I come in?" the human asks. OK, you think, I'm not a dog mentally, I can understand speech. You try to answer, but only a woof comes out. "Bark once for yes, twice for no." says the human.
You bark once.
The human comes in. He kneels by you and pats you on the head, saying "A superb transition. You are one fine bitch." You take pleasure in his approval. You look in the mirror and see yourself, a handsome German shepherd. He puts a collar around your neck. "Just so we know where you are." he says "There's a chip in the collar. And of course it gives your trainer a place to attach the leash." You are excited at the thought of being trained. Your tail starts to wag.
"Now lets take you for a walk before the blizzard gets here, and then you can meet some of the other dogs for kibble."
You follow him out, using your door--the dog door.
