Now Queen Bet's folk had done the calculatins,and had figured that the
Kingdoms D Day would happen in two weeks from her departure date from
the Royal Castle.That wasn't fast enough for Queen Beth,as it seemed the
Archeron attack would happen about 3 days after her departure.If the
Archerons offed King Garron and his people too soon,there'd be no D Day and the
Archerons would soon have Beth's head on a platter.
Beth had done her thinking and realized General Smea was on the verge of
overthrowing her back in the kingdom.She'd eaten cursed Royal meat,and was
coughing up wriggling snakes in increasing numbers,a fact not lost
on her ogres and trolls.
She'd thought and thought about her future as Queen Beth of the kingdom,and
realized there wasn't one.Sooner or later either the Archerons or General Smea
would have her head,and it all would have been for naught.
However in about 2 weeks there'd be room for advancement
in the Kingdom,possibly as the alpha female dragoness in
Dragon Garrons pack.
She'd spent her time reading up on dragons,and had even
found a dragoness skeleton in a cave with a fairly sizeable
dragons egg in it.She did her calculations and spent a grisly
night eating dragon bone and egg till she was thoroughly cursed and
fair ready to burst into her dragonesshood.
She hadn'd bee giggling at the thought of the Royal Bull
mounting runty ogre cows,but herself in a short while.
The change had first struck her a day before the kindgdoms retinue
had fled the Kingdom.She'd suddenly felt sweaty and had moaned in pain as
a force iside her skull tried to push her face forward.The change hadn't
continued and had reversed itself,but Queen Beth had realized that if the
2nd night didn't do her,the third certainly would.
So she bribed the ogre guards,made her last farewells to old
collques and had returned to her bedchamber in the Royal Castle whilst
her men rolled off with the empty carriage.
