It takes a moment for you to realize what you've become. How could this have happened? The satyrs were so pleasant and gracious. Tara had been so loving to you. Surely, she could not have become so wanton and evil so quickly. Where did you lose complete control over your being and form?
Your human thoughts are fading fast. You've got to get out of here ... got to get away from these beasts.
With your last rational, 'human' thought, your mind screams "RUN."
And you do just that. Running on four legs takes some getting used to, but you quickly adapt. You hear the crys of protest from the satyrs behind you, close on your hooves. But you dare not look back for fear of losing ground to them.
You run headlong into the forest.
A louder cry erupts behind you. You must look back to see what's the matter.
Still running at full speed, you turn your head. The satyrs are screaming for you to stop. In your animal mind, their words make little sense to you. You know only fear of these beasts that will violate you. (Where's PETA when you need it.)
Still looking back, you loose your foot hold. Turning back quickly, you see that you have come past the end of a sharp cliff. Like Wylie Coyote, you are six feet beyond the precipice before your forward momentum stops. You plunge down into the canyon below. The drop is a good 1000 feet. You reach teminal velocity well before you hit the ground. The force of that impact shatters your new body into thousands of pieces. All that remains is a small pile of goo incapable of any regeneration or further transformation. A calm rain falls, washing what there is of your mortal coil into nothingness.
