Shoot?
Ben didn't like the escalation of the conversation. Communicating was not much of an option so he did all he could think of, which was to turn and run, away from the lights and shouting, back toward his house.
He didn't get far when he felt a sharp sting in his hip. Then, the lights went out.
The computer mouse he had cradled in one paw fell into the grass, unnoticed as the gawkers encircled his fallen ape form.

Ben groaned as his eyes opened. Was this a hang-over? He didn't remember getting wasted...
The last thing he remembered was a strange dream about...
He bolted upright, hitting his head. "Oook!"
No! It hadn't been a dream. He was still a gorilla.
