Nick turned the tiny knob and pulled the tiny door open, and suddenly, he felt himself being sucked forward
and through the door. He felt the knob grow rapidly between his fingers until he was gripping the knob with
his hand. He found himself standing upright in the threshold of the tiny doorway. He looked back at the
hallway which soared high overhead like a hangar for the Space Shuttle. He shook his head, and looked through
the doorway.
The door suddenly thrust itself shut pushing Nick through the door. He let go of the knob as the door slammed
and found himself flying through the air. The doorway opened into a wall with a huge drop to the floor below.
A pillar rose up in front of him and Nick stretched out his arm and caught hold of the edge of the pillar. He
pulled himself up, and examined the gigantic room around him. It appeared to be a giant school gymnasium.
There were wrestling mats set up and bleachers. He looked to his right and left. On either side of his high
pillar were shorter pillars with shiny men standing on top of each. He shouted to them but they remained
immobile. He looked back at the door, and was shocked to see it had vanished. Then he looked down and
struggled to read the sign on the base of his pillar.
"FIRST PLACE - REGIONAL WRESTLING CHAMPIONS" read the sign.
He was on top of a trophy? But where was the statue? He noticed the silver pedestal in the center of the
pillar. He couldn't resist climbing on the pedestal and posing. Nick flexed his body like a real trophy, but
while he was flexing he felt his muscles stiffening.
"N-uh" he said as his jaw clamped shut. The moon set and Nick became a silver statuette on the top of a
wrestling trophy. All he could do was stand there as the sun rose, and about 3 hours later, the doors flung
open and people began streaming in. He would watch all the wrestling matches, and he would be awarded to one
of the wrestlers, but which one? He was terrified that he might never move again.
