Jealous of his sister's easy, mostly successful life, Roy next pointed the futuristic device down at himself... and pressed the button.
Instantly, Roy found himself no longer sitting in his broken-down car. He was now standing across the street, where Miranda had been. And he
could feel the breeze of cool air on his bare legs.
Looking down at himself, Roy saw he was now wearing Miranda's blue-and-green plaid, knee-length skirt. His hairy, masculine legs proved he
still had his own body. But his feet were now in Miranda's white ankle socks and her tennis shoes. Everything seemed to have magically adjusted
in size to fit his body.
Roy examined the rest of himself. He wore Miranda's white blouse, and through the fabric he could see the outline of a bra underneath despite
the fact that he had no breasts to fill out the cups. He could feel much longer hair now hanging around his shoulders. Touching his head and face,
he realized he was wearing his sister's headband and earrings. Over one shoulder, he now carried Miranda's large, pink fabric book bag.
Spinning around, Roy looked back to where his clunker of a car was parked just down the block. Squinting into the distance, he could just make
out a shape through the dirty, grime-stained windshield it was Miranda's body, apparently now dressed in Roy's work uniform.
This is so weird, whispered Roy to himself.
What next?
