"Unnnghhhhh," Mary awoke the next morning with a groan. She had a massive headache, and the sunlight filtering in through the kitchen windows was glaring. She felt disoriented, confused. What had happened last night? What had...
She glanced down at herself. She had been sprawled out on the cold linoleum, completely naked. The scattered remnants of several meals strewn about her. Wasn't she several hundred pounds heavier just a few hours ago? Wasn't she a PIG?
"Wha...?" she murmured, glancing over at the still slumbering forms of Jess and Rob. They, too, were no longer pigs.
"Hey..." she whispered, shaking Jess on the shoulder. "Wake up."
"Mmmmmfive more minutessss," Jess mumbled, waving Mary off.
"Wake up. We're human again," Mary reiterated, and that snapped Jess's eyes open.
"Holy shit. Wow," Jess couldn't help but smile as she sat up and examined herself.
"What are you smiling about? This sucks," Mary pouted.
"Seriously? It was fun, sure, but... I wouldn't want to be a pig forEVer..." Jess stood up, and glanced down at their new friend. Friend. Right. The things they did last night... that was way beyond friendship.
"I... I guess..." Mary answered, but she wasn't so sure. It felt so good, it felt so right... why did it feel so right? Really?
"Besides, we can always... huh, that's weird..." Jess trailed off, snapping Mary out of her daydreaming.
"What's weird?"
"Didn't we leave the box of vials right there?" Jess asked, pointing to the coffee table in the living room.
"WHAT?!" Mary roared, causing Robert to grunt in surprise and wake up. She rushed over to the coffee table, and sure enough, the box was gone.
"No, no no no no no... oh no no no..." she grasped at her hair and bit her lower lip.
"Whassamatta?" Rob asked, half awake, unsure of what was going on.
"The vials are gone," Jess answered with a shrug of her shoulders.
"Really? No... no kidding... um... are you Mary or Jess?" he asked, squinting his eyes.
"I'm Jess," she answered. "What, you didn't know the difference?"
"Never saw either of you as humans, remember?" he answered, smirking some.
"Oh, right..." Jess nodded her head. "Pleased to meet you again!"
"How can you two be... ARGHHH!!" Mary felt like kicking something. "They're GONE!!!"
"Easy come, easy go, I guess," Jess shrugged her shoulders. "It's probably for the best anyway, Mary. Who knows what kind of side effects those things have?"
"I don't care!" Mary snapped back. "They were MINE and now they're gone and I'll never..."
"Jeez, Mary, chill. At least we had some fun with them, right?" Jess glanced over at the clock. "Look, I gotta go soon, mind if I borrow some clothes and get dressed? After I shower, of course."
"Yeah, fine, whatever," Mary shook her head. "I can't believe they're gone..."
