Wes looked at the scattered remains of his friends clothes trying to make sense of what he'd just witnessed. He didn't actually see what happened to Jon, but somehow could that colt have been...?
It couldn't be.
He looked around the alley for any other signs, but found nothing. After a while, he did come across a small jar. He unscrewed the top and looked in, finding to his surprise that it was completely full.
Wes knew that this was the jar that Jon had been talking about, but it had somehow refilled itself. Then again, if he was right, it had also turned his friend into a horse!
Not sure what else to do, he left the ripped up clothes in the alley and took the jar home.

After a week, Jon still hadn't returned.
Wes was more sure than ever that his friend was that horse. Given the trouble that he was always in, perhaps it was for the best.
Now Wes didn't know what to do with the jar.
He was becoming convinced there was more to the thing than it being a simple, albeit magical jar. He felt almost like he was being drawn to use it. After what happened to Jon, he was more than a little wary. If he played his cards right, he could use it and become the husband of some rich socialite.
Then again, he might end up eating oats on a farm.
He started to think that it would be a better idea to return it to the shop. Maybe the owner would be willing to cure Jon if he did.
