"You callin' for me?" asked Runt.
He looked more handsome than ever. Immediately, I felt myself going hard. I ignored it.
"Uh... sure," I lied.
"Listen," Runt whispered, "I don't want to alarm you, but there are Angels nearby."
"Really?" I tried to sound surprised, "What do we do?"
"No point trying to get to this gateway. I'm gonna have to change you again."
"Into what?"
"We have a few options..."
"Option 1. Something fast. We get out of here as quickly as we can. Either you've got good legs or wings."
"Option 2. Something that can dig. We tunnel our way away."
"Option 3. Something that can hide me. It has to be big enough for me to fit inside."
"You mean like a box?" I asked incredulously.
"I was hoping for something a bit less conspicuous, but it doesn't have to be immobile."
"What about Ferus?"
"What about him?"
"We're not leaving him behind."
"We don't have the time to look for him," Runt sighed impatiently, "Come on, you have to make up your mind."
