Jared spent the next two weeks fretting about what had happened while the vets continued to poke, prod and examine her.
She knew that she had to get out of here. Everyday that she spent in this place was one more that someone else might find that damned amulet and trap her like this forever!
One morning, one of the vets managed to sneak around her and get a rope tie around her neck. The tried to bolt, but that did nothing but tighten it. Jared relaxed and allowed herself to be led out of the vets office and down a corridor. She was so nervous that she felt like pissing all over the floor!
Finally, she was lead into a smaller holding cell than the one she'd been in before, and before long the door in front of her opened, revealing her new home.
Jared stayed in the cage a few minuted before deciding that it wasn't worth waiting. She'd eventually have to come out, and now seemed as good a time as any.
She stepped into the morning light and looked around. It was a large, hilly enclosure filled with trees and bushes with several large areas to walk around in. She sniffed and smelled all the scents of the zoo, so mixed together that it was hard to pick out predator and prey.
There were a couple that something in her brain told her to pay special attention to. And one of those walked around a corner.
The buck walked around a bush and seemed almost surprised to see her. He recovered quickly and came forward, sniffing at her tentatively. Jared found herself doing the same, letting instinct take its course. Over the next few minutes, the two of them got pretty well aquanted, and the buck soon was acting like she was a part of his harem.
And there was a small harem here for him, two other does that made there aquaintaince after a short time. By the time the zoo patrons were walking by and watching the new doe, she was just another part of the exhibit.

Jared spend every moment she could over the next few weeks looking at the way the enclosure was built, trying to find an out. She knew where the zoo was, if she could escape close enough to midnight, she knew she could be back near that old clearing before dawn. She could be Jared the young man again soon after.
The problem was that the enclosure had been built with escape in mind, mindful that animals with no time to do anything else might find a way out. The fences were too high and angled inward so she couldn't jump them, and the enclosure angled downward near the viewing fence, so any attempt to jump that would be suicide. She knew there was a way, but she needed more time.
Time, though, was something that nature wasn't going to allow.
After another couple weeks, the velvet on her buck finally shed, and she found herself less interested in trying to escape. Even when she though she saw a way to escape by climbing the wall under the viewing fence, she kept putting off her attempt. Everytime she stood there in the night and looked at it, she felt like she needed to be back with her buck.
One morning while she grazed, she realized the buck was paying special attention to her. She'd been feeling anxious all day, and when she urinated and the buck started sniffing at it, it suddenly dawned on her why. She tensed up in the clearing, in full view of the zoo guests, as the buck rose up on his hind legs and covered her. She winced only slightly as he penetrated and started to move back and forth. Jared lost herself for a while, letting the buck do what he wanted for as long as he wanted, until she felt a rush of his seamen in her. Then he dismounted and started sniffing some more.
Jared stood there, stunned, and not sure how to react. She'd mated with him.
But she was a doe, after all.
Escape forgotten, Jared and the buck mated several times over the next day and a half before he moved on to one of the other members of her harem. The mating over, Jared laid in the grass and pondered.
