You stop speaking for a second, surprised that you even can. You must not be completely a frog if you can talk.
You hear a few gasps around you and you see a few more fairies hovering about, talking excitedly about what just happened. You're feeling odd, hungry...
A trio of faeries is floating nearby you, talking about you but not looking at you. With a flick of your tongue, you snatch the closest one and drag her screaming into your mouth, cutting off the cries with a solid crunch. The other two flee into the forest.
Once the second fairy goes down, you know something is different. You're a little bigger now, you feel more powerful. You look at your squat, amphibious body and realize that you're more anthropomorphic than you were at first. You hop toward one of the toadstool homes and knock the door off, seeing another fairy inside. Without a thought, you grab her with your tongue and devour her, feeling even stronger and larger.
You start to wonder if you ate enough of these creatures, would you become human again?
You rip the roof off another home and corner another fairy. "Wait!" she screams. You pause, if just for novelty. "Why are you doing this?"
"Your fellow fairy turned me into a frog, so I ate her. Now it looks like eating enough of you will make me human again," you say, feeling your tongue twitch.
"No, you'll just become some kind of magical monster!" she yells terrified. "You can't undo fairy magic that way! Only the original spell caster can do that!"
You think, "So since I ate her, I'm stuck this way? And if I eat enough fairies, I'll be some kind of monster rather than a frog?" I asked. When she nodded, I shrugged and snatched her with my tongue. By this time I was large enough that she slipped down my throat without being chewed, and I could feel her struggle all the way to my stomach, where she slowly stopped.
I belched and checked myself out. I was now now a frog so much as a midget frog monster. If I wanted to be more, I'd have to eat a few more faeries...
