"How did this happen to me?" Jake asked in a deeper version of his own voice.
That's when Jake went back to his room. It looked like a bomb went off in it. "But it was so neat before!" Jake exclaimed, in the voice
that wasn't quite his.
Jake closed the door and started to panic. "Oh my god. Oh my god. What do I do? What happened?" Jake walked on the piles of
clothes and things to his unmade bed and lied down on it. He yawned.
"Oh... so... tired.." yawned Jake, and then he fell asleep.
Jake woke up and was himself again, in his neat room. He was sitting up straight in his bed, and his mom was yelling. He couldn't quite
make out what she was saying, neither did he really care. There was a white flash of light and suddenly Jake was at school by the
fence, in the back of the school. He looked about 18. He took a lighter out of his pocket and lit it. He pulled out a cigarette, lit it, and
took a big puff. There was another flash. He was about 20 now, having sex with a blond girl. Odd, he had never seen her face before,
but when he looked at her, one word came to mind. Gloria. Then there was another white flash. Jake was in the hospital, looking down
at his youngest sister. He appeared to be 22. One more flash happened, and Jake was at a funeral. He could hear the words the priest
was saying. "Allison White will be missed by everyone. Her parents, Paul and Leila, and her siblings, Carl, Nick, Catherine, and Mark.
May she rest in peace."
Jake thought for a second. They never said his name. Then again he never had a brother named Nick.
Then it dawned on him as the funeral scene faded away.
"I'm Nick." he said.
Nick woke up in his bed. He qas completely naked, and decided to get dressed. He found boxers on the floor and put them on. He
pulled on a green shirt and some jean shorts fron the floor and pulled them on over his boxers. He realized he still had his necklace on.
It was a gift from Gloria. Nick then heard shouting downstairs.
