Jen immediately stripped down and using the full length mirror on her door checked for any abnormalities. After a thorough examination she couldn't find one hair out of place. Breathing a sigh of relief she redressed and continued to get ready for school. That jerk Kyle had her all worked up over nothing. It must have been some hallucination that had caused her to feel as if the curse had been bearing down on her. Later at the pep rally Jen planned on telling the whole school just what a loser Kyle Perkins was.
She heard her boyfriend honking from the street just as she finished putting on her makeup. She hurried down to meet him, grabbing her purse and backpack as she left her room. Jim didn't like to be kept waiting.
Jim had already got out of his car and was standing in the driveway as Jen ran out of the house to meet him. Jim Bailey, the captain of the football team, and Jen had been dating for about two weeks but he had only just started driving her to school since Jennifer's own car was in the shop. It had started quite a commotion in the school's gossip mill when they had started showing up together.
Jen ran up to him to give him a kiss but something did not seem quite right. Normally she had to stand on her toes to embrace him but today she barely had to stretch. When she kissed him his face felt smoother than it had ever been, like he had waxed his face instead of the usual shave. The kiss was still amazing though as she felt his tongue gently caressing her own. He was always a good kisser but today he had stepped up his game.
