Meanwhile, Dave and Josh were hurrying over the roof. After escaping through the window, the duo slowly slid closer to the edge of the roof. "Ready" Josh said. Their feet dangled over the edge, just a few meters above the ground. Josh nodded. "Okay then; On Three. One...Two...Three" They pushed their body the rest of the way off, and they fell through the air and landed on their feet. "We need to head back to my house."
Josh just shrugged his shoulder "Fine..." Dave and Josh started out heading in the direction of Josh's home. With no backpack to hide one of them, they slipped the hood of their shared sweatshirt over both of them, praying it would be enough to keep them from drawing attention. The last thing they needed now was someone seeing them.
The brisk walk over to Josh's house was, so far, going without a hitch. No one seemed to pay too much attention to them. As they continued walking down the sidewalk, Josh had started rubbing his head, trying to relieve the headache he had gotten from this ordeal. He slowly brought his hand down to message his neck when he noticed something. He came to a full stop mid-step. "Dude! What are you doing?" Dave complained.
"The chain I have... its gone!" Josh exclaimed. Josh looked into Dave's equally shocked expression. The two fumbled around trying to look in different directions for it.
"Did you drop it?" Dave asked. "How could you loose it? I still have..." Dave's hand rested on his own neck. He too was missing a chain. Dave's eyebrows came together as furry started to build in him. "That little brat!" Dave blared out. "He must have them." Just as abruptly as Josh had stopped them, Dave swung them around.
"Dude!" It was Josh's turn to complain. "Where are you going? We can't go back to your place." Josh started to pull them back around, however Dave held his ground. Their body swayed back and forward as they tried to move the other in the opposite direction. It was a tug of war, a battle of wills.
"Yes we are!" Dave yelled, glaring at his other half.
"Now we're not!" Josh yelled back. He was really getting annoyed with Dave now.
