Just as dave began to ponder on what he would do next, he was startled back to reality by a loud tapping on his new glass door to his office. It was joe, who had a look on his face which seemed to Dave that he had something to do before he could get on with his life. Sure enough, as soon as he entered the office, joe began to recite a seemingly small speech which sounded like he had said it about fifty times already.
"Welcome to higher management Dave, you are now just directly below me and..." Joe began and dave stared at him pretending to listen, but really going back to thinking about what he could do with the new found power. What could he do with this amazing pen? What COULDN'T he do? That last thought really made him inwardly excited and he left eye contact with Joe. Across the office he saw what he guessed was Jenny; she was hopping away from her cubicle, going to the drinking fountain. As she was hopping Dave got another burst of inspiration and bent over to the paper on his desk.
"Uh, hello?" Joe inquired sharply toward Dave who looked up quickly. "Are you even listening to me?"
"Oh, yeah. I was just taking some notes about what you're saying." Dave responded calmly.
"Oh, alright. First you started looking away and then bent over, so..." Joe trailed off and continued with his speech when Dave gave a motion to keep going. Dave quickly scribbled: 'Joe and everyone else will think any changes I make is normal' in such a way that he looked like he was taking notes from Joe's speech. Then, with a little excitement, dave scribbled onto the sheet of paper: 'Joe will slowly turn into a kangaroo.'
Dave looked up and noticed Joe's ears begin to lengthen and move close to the top of his head. Then his legs also began to grow longer starting with his feet. The cheap Tenneshoes quickly gave way to the claws growing in his feet and how fast they were lengthening. His legs also grew longer and became more bent and soon resembled a kangaroo's. Joe, of course, thinking this was normal, stretched his legs as paws and fur began to form on his feet and went on with his already too long to be short speech claiming that he would finish it soon. No sooner had he mentioned this though, his torso began to expand to that of a kangaroo. First, it looked as if he'd suddenly grown fat, but as soon as his organs changed along with him, the torso of a kangaroo took shape. Fur then surged through his torso and covered his back, belly and chest with fur of the appropriate colors and lengths.
By now almost all of Joe's head was that of a kangaroo. "Now before I finifsh thisfmallspheech..." Joe slurred a little as a muzzle pushed out of his face and disrupted his speech for a few seconds, but he soon began again almost rushing to the end of it. "I'd like to tell you some quick advice on office relations. No matter how much you may want to try and start some sort of unprofessional relationship with one of you co-workers, remember: An office relationship could and would never work out." As he finished his not-so-small speech, he brought his hands together which noticeably became claws and were covered in fur as it finally finished covering his body. By the time he brought his hands back down his arms were as kangaroo as the rest of him."Well, did you get all that, dave?"
"Yessir." Dave replied quickly.
"Good. I hope you do well." Joe turned and walked toward the door and Dave saw a tail grow smoothly, completing his transformation into a kangaroo. As he walked out Dave heard him mumbling about that being the longest speech he'd ever given. Dave was excited, and he was showing after Joe left. He had just changed two, count 'em, TWO people in kangaroos, and they were none the wiser! Dave was getting a bit of a rush from it all but who would he transform next and how?
