David and James arrived at David's place. It was a niec big house with a garage. The lawn was large and they had a miniature baketball court on it. David motioned to it and said "We'll be training tere."
They opened the fromt door to the house and the first thing that they sawwhen they went in was David's dad.
"Hey, little fella!" said the man. He was short and kind of chubby, and James laughed a bit when he heard his friend being called "little fella" by a man much shorter than him.
David frowned. "Pops, please stop calling me that. I hate it when you do it when it's just us, why would you do it when there's people around?"
"Eh? People around?" asked David's dad. He then noticed James. "Who're you? I've never seen you before. David, is this a one night stand? Are yo-"
"No dad! Why would you ask that?!" exclaimed David, flustered. "He's a friend from school, and his name is James. His folks kicked him out, so I decided to let him stay here."
"And you didn't bother to check first?" asked David's dad. "My, the nerve of these kids."
The next thing that was heard was a loud sigh.
"Veronica! Why are you sighing?" asked David's dad. "You're just doing that overdramatic stuff again!"
"Really Bert?" asked David's mother, Veronica, from the kitchen. "I'm the one being overdramatic?"
A tall woman stepped into the doorstep behind David's father. "Hello David, is this James? It's nice to meet you."
She stepped in front of her husband and shook James' hand.
"It is great to meet you too." said James.
Bert coughed very loudly. "She said nice, not great."
"Dad, please." interrupted David. "Mom, is it allright if James stays?"
"James can stay as long as he'd like!" exclaimed David's mother.
"What? Do I not get a say?" asked David's dad.
"No dear, you don't." said Veronica. "Let's go upstairs so David can get James accquainted." She proceeded to go up the staircase. David's dad stopped and glared at the boys for a second before he followed.
"Well James, let's show you around." said David.
