Steve showed up with the ad but after a discussion about how much he would be paid, he
was redirected to go somewhere else: the sheriffs department.
He stepped into a classroom where about twenty men were seated. Then a man in a lab
coat stepped forward to lead the meeting. There was a large machine off to the side.
"Good afternoon gentleman. My name is Doctor Sook. Prison overcrowding has become a
big problem and we've developed a possible solution. We've already tested it and found it
safe but we need to test whether it will work in a real world setting."
Someone asked, "So this is a shrinking machine?"
Doctor Sook said, "No, unfortunately. A shrinking machine is too complicated for current
technology. Many of you volunteered because you are prisoners seeking a reduced
sentence. Others are being paid a substantial amount of money because regardless of why
you are here, for the next three months, you will be prisoners in a special prison
specifically designed to handle twenty prisoners in a small space. You won't be getting
your own room or even your own bunk."
Steve wondered what kind of experiment this was. He signed on because it paid well.
"May I have a first volunteer so I can show everyone what this experiment is about?" Doctor
Sook said.
A man of about 25 with dark black curly hair stepped forward, "I'll do it. Anything to get out
of prison sooner."
Doctor Sook asked, "Your name?"
The man said, "Mike."
Doctor Sook said "Remove your clothes and step into the machine."
Mike asked, "Why do I need to remove my clothes?"
Doctor Sook said, "It's just the old adage, better safe than sorry. This machine is safe but
just to be on the safe side, we don't want any fabrics or metals to interfere."
Mike got undressed. He was mildly hairy in a very handsome way. He stepped into the
machine and Doctor Sook pressed the start button.
Doctor Sook explained, "What is happening to Mike right now is that he is being flattened.
He'll still be alive but he'll be as thin as paper. This isn't permanent. In fact, as soon as he
comes out of the machine, he will begin to return to normal automatically. However, it
takes at least a whole day to return fully from being flattened. In a flattened state, you
won't have to worry about breathing and your need for food will also be reduced which is
another reason why we hope this will work to take care of overcrowding."
The machine pinged that it was finished and Doctor Sook pulled Mike out of the machine.
Mike hung from the doctor's hand like a limp cloth. Doctor Sook spread Mike out on the
table.
"You see, his bones and all hard tissues have been softened during the flattening. He can
be rolled up or folded." Doctor Sook demonstrated rolling Mike up and then unrolling him
again. "He is also stretchy."Doctor Sook demonstrated by taking Mike's cock and pulling on
it until it was longer than his legs.
Someone asked, "You mean we're going to be like Mr. Fantastic, able to change our
shape?"
Doctor Sook said, "No, your shape can be changed but you won't be able to do it. Someone
will have to flatten you or stretch you."
A knock was heard and a female voice said, "Sheriff Bronson needs to speak with you a
moment."
Doctor Sook said, "That will be fine. For the demonstration, it would be good to give Mike
a chance to unflatten a little." Doctor Sook left.
The men in the room were hesitant at first but then got bolder. They picked Mike up and
started playing with him, stretching him and joking. When Doctor Sook returned, Mike
didn't look human anymore.
Doctor Sook scolded, "Stop that, he is aware of everything you did. He can still see, hear
and feel."
The men carefully laid Mike out again. Mike was still thin but he wasn't paper thin anymore.
He had begun to thicken.
Someone asked, "Will he be alright?"
Doctor Sook said, "Yes, all that stretching will return to normal although the more
stretched out he is, the longer it will take. But I want to show you that once you've been
through the machine, you don't have to go through the machine again. His condition is
permanent until we reverse it. So all I have to do to flatten him again is set books on him or
iron him."
Steve had noticed the ironing board in the corner but there was so much stuff in the
corner that Steve assumed it had nothing to do with class. But the Doctor Sook
demonstrated ironing Mike out until he was flat and wrinkle free again, though still
stretched out.
Doctor Sook said, "Now each of you is going to get the treatment from this machine. Then
we will fold and stack you and take you to your holding cell. You won't need as much space
because you'll spend most of your time flat. You'll be allowed to exercise, have visitation,
and do the normal things that prisoners are allowed to do. But it will be different because
you'll be flat at all times. Before you have a chance to return to normal, you'll be ironed flat
again. You'll be ironed four times a day to make sure you stay flat."
We'll have to make some other adjustments to and that is the whole point of this
experiment, to find out what adjustments need to be made. For example, you won't be able
to shower anymore. We will see if throwing you into a modified washing machine will work
instead of a shower. Are there any questions?"
