You lie there sleeping unknowing of what is happening as you slumber. You are transitioning into a new universe similar but different to your own. This new universe is similar in the fact that there are still humans inhabiting a planet named Earth and most practices are the same as in the Human Universe, as your current reality is called. The ways it is different are numerous and many.
On this new Earth, people were born biologically with a power of fluid form shape adjoining. What this pertains is people can share bodies with one another and everyone on this Earth does. The number of people merged together at any one time is infinite. People may even merge together with animals. Everything on this Earth is different due to this.
When people get married, be it gay, straight, polygamous (due to merging), the couple or however many people are in the marriage, will merge together to solidfy a bond. These married people don't stay merged indefinitely but they stay merged together with each other more than with other people. When a women gets pregnant, her partner will join in her in the pregnancy by merging with her. Gay couples have children by merging with a surrogate and biological systems mix the two sperm or egg samples of the men or women equally and it prevents biological defects.
Sports teams use merging to their advantage to plan clever strategies. Football teams will merge all their team in a line shoulder to shoulder to make a wall for the other team not to pass. They will merge two players together specifically for the purpose of insurance. If the players' body is about to get tackled, then they may separate and readjoin to avoid this. When a player is tackled, they sometimes even become a part of the tackler's body. This leads to a new sport called Merge Tag.
Merge Tag is commonly played by middle school and grade school students. There are two teams. One is the mergers and the other is the mergees. The mergers try to capture all the mergees and merge them into their body. It can be an intense game of strategy.
People can choose any form they want to merge into and the resulting form does not nessicarily have to count for body mass. People will merge in any number and normally only merge with close friends or if not with friends, for a certain purpose.
