…she was growing.
Looking down at the chair she was standing on, she could see her feet recede away from her as her body stretched out taller. She was growing up again! Only, she was not sure how old she would get. In her haste, she had punched in a couple of numbers for her age, which she had hoped were 1 and 4, 14 being her normal age. Although now that she thought about it, there would be nothing really “normal” about being a teenaged girl.
As she passed out of her toddler years into girlhood, her baby fat melted away and her legs grew longer and skinnier. She felt stronger and steadier the bigger she became. Her clothes kept pace with her growth, adapting to her new shape and maturity. She now wore a young girl’s pleasant sun dress.
Please keep growing, she thought. Goodbye, childhood!
