Nate returned to the store on Saturday afternoon before the party to have his werewolf makeup applied. He saw the sculpting on the desk in front of him and was surprised to see how extensive the werewolf look was going to be, carefully designed to give the illusion of the startings of a werewolf snout, along with a decidedly lupine nose. He also saw the custom fangs, looking long and sharp, along with ten long, sharp claws lined up on the desk. Nate felt himself grow hard from the anticipation. He eagerly sat down in the makeup chair and watched Colin walk in with the first set of makeup appliances, the facial ones.
Nate was wearing a tattered t-shirt, the idea being that it was from post transformation and he would have Colin add bits of fur underneath. He also wore a pair of equally tattered jeans and black leather boots.
“How are we doing today?” asked Colin. “Are we ready to get our werewolf on?”
“You have no idea,” replied Nate.
Colin started working on Nate’s makeup, slowly adding and blending in each piece, adding his pointed ears, painting and blending each appliance. He could feel Nate’s excitement build with each addition.
“You know, I realized it’s the full moon tonight. This seems rather appropriate,” said Colin.
“Yeah, this would be so much easier if I were a real werewolf.”
“That’d be cool. I love werewolves,” replied Colin.
“Me too. That’s why my friend Charlie asked me to dress as one, because he knew how much I loved them,” said Nate.
Colin finished with the facial appliances and started adding the fur, starting around his neck and moving up and around his face. The fur, a mix of brown, black and gray looked amazing when finished, cut and carefully styled. Colin touched up the makeup and handed Nate the new fangs, which easily popped into place in his mouth.
Nate took a long look at himself in the mirror, not quite believing the image of himself as a fierce beast.
“Oh my god, I look amazing! This is exactly what I had in mind,” said Nate, trying to enunciate over his large fangs.
“Shall I keep going?” asked Colin.
“There’s more?” said an incredulous Nate.
“I still have your hands and legs to do!” replied Colin.
“Sweet! Yes, please do!” said Nate.
Colin worked with a quickening pace, adding new appliances to Nate’s hands, making them look more paw like. To each fingertip he applied a long sharp claw. He finished it off with the same fur, working it up to his shoulders. As Colin left to get the feet appliances, Nate held his hands up for closer inspection. The detail was amazing, he thought. He knew he was going to have fun in this costume.
He returned with two digigrade appliances, each designed to fit over Nate’s feet. Colin pulled off Nate’s boots and socks, slipping the appliances over his feet and gluing it in place and blending in the makeup. Colin added the finishing touches with tufts of fur coming out of each of the tears and then had Nate stand up and check out his new self.
Nate felt a shudder throughout his body as the costume came together on him. He slowly walked over to the full body mirror and checked himself out, stunned at how realistic the effects came out.
“This is amazing work,” said Nate.
“I’m glad you like it,” replied Colin.
“Like it? I love it!” Nate started laughing from excitement. He felt a howl creep up his throat and let it out, followed by another and another. With each one, he felt another shudder go through his body.
“Have a good time at the party, my friend. I’ll be here if you need me.”
