"Naughty cubs! Keep your claws retracted, you're ruining the floor. You want a bigger space? I'll give you a
jungle," Kat snapped.
Suddenly, Patrick and Dan found themselves cradled in Kat's cupped hands. She carried them over to her
terrarium and set them down inside. They were so tiny now that it did seem like a jungle.
"There, I don't think you two can get into any mischief inside there. Oh, wait, I should give you some toys to
keep you busy," Kat said. She opened her dresser drawer, and pulled out a tennis ball. She chuckled it was too
big for them to do much with, except maybe balance on like the tigers and lions at the circus. She set the ball
in the terrarium and then she rifled around her drawers for some other trinkets for them to chew on and play
with. She found a pink rubber eraser, a bottle cap, a tiny super ball, and a container of Green Slime. She
chuckled as she poured the slime on the other side of the terrarium near the small pool of water with the
guppies in it. She figured the two cats would have to overcome their fear of water to catch a guppy. She was
okay with the cats eating guppies. The guppies were cannibals and had already cut their population in half
after the last hatching. She took her glass of milk and poured a drop into the inverted bottle cap. Then she
put secured the lid of the terrarium. Patrick and Dan were horsing around with the tennis ball. They had
fallen off it at least 3 times and the last time it rolled over the two of them as they writhed in the dirt.
"Boys!" said Kat in exasperation. She shook her head and left the two to their own devices. She had better
things to do.
