Andrew blanks out for a moment as the machine asks him this, not really sure actually what kind of animal he'd prefer. He had been so excited to try the game he hadn't really given it much thought. Thinking about the other day he spotted a cute little red fox running across the road he decides to go with that, speaking, "Fox" into the interface. The VR game then responds, "Thank you. Select a location. If you are unsure say, "Unsure" and a help menu will attempt to locate a place for you". Andrew, not really knowing much about their habitats speaks, "Unsure" to which the VR game replies, "Thank you. One moment please, scanning memories for best match." A moment goes by and then the machine replies, "City has been selected. Will this be acceptable?" Andrew replies, "Yes" excited about trying out this new game.
The game then replies, "Please wait, loading scenario." A few seconds go by and the VR game instructs Andrew, "Before Scenario can begin, occupant must be in position. Please get down on all fours in the black hexagonal box in the center of the room." Andrew looks around quickly, noting that no one else seems to be watching him through the glass walls of the VR chamber and drops to all fours on the soft padded floor, feeling pretty silly like this. "This had better be worth it" he grumbles embarrassedly on all fours. The voice chimes in one final time. "Scenario loaded and ready. Is occupant ready to begin half hour simulation? Please Yip once to initiate simulation." What! Andrew's cheeks are bright red by now but he's already on the floor and committed to trying this game out, so he yips once.
The room seems to grow very bright, obscuring his vision for a moment..
