"So...I guess we should start researching for a way for you to get back to normal." said Lisa, stating the
obvious.
Erin went straight to work, researching for any magicians over the internet who might help her situation.
Thankfully her new wings were not too much of a hassle. The next day, around noon, she found someone who
seemed to be reliable and not a stage magician or a fraud. Erin reached for the phone with her new, delicate
hands...
"Yes?"
"Uh, hi", began Erin hesitantly. "I'm having a bit of a magic problem, and I heard you could help."
"Well, tell me the problem, young lady, and I'll let you know what I can do."
"Well, you see, it goes like this. Me and my friend Lisa went to the mall yesterday, and we stopped by this
magic shop. I haphazardly put on a necklace with a birds' wings pendant on it, and then a few minutes later I
turned into a harpy. Did I mention that I'm not actually a girl?"
"Hmm. The magic shop wasn't named 'Spells R Us' was it?"
"N-no" stuttered Erin. "It was just named Magic Shop. Why?"
"Was there an old man who looked like he was wearing a bathrobe? And if he was there, did he startle you by
casually revealing personal information about you that he shouldn't possibly know?"
"No. There was an old man, but he was dressed pretty normally, and he was sleeping by the register until me
and Lisa woke him up. He was bald. He didn't look like Merlin or Dumbledore or anything."
"Ah, well that's good news. The guy who I just mentioned is a rogue wizard who turns almost every male who
comes into his shop into a bimbo female for his own sick amusement. Reading your mind just now, I know that it
isn't him."
"You read my mind?!" Erin whined.
"Sorry about that. It's my main investigative technique when doing this line of work. I assume that won't
bother you?"
"N-no, as long as I can get my life back to normal with little to no consequence."
"Well, that shouldn't be a problem. I'll be in your front doorstep when I find a solution. You did say the
pendant was made of mother of pearl, right?"
"No, but I'm guessing you read my mind."
"Yes, now hold on a minute..."
In the background, Erin could hear Wade stumble through his house and rifle through huge piles of things, some
of which sounded like fluttering paper. In few minutes, Erin heard a noise that sounded like a kind of
celebratory hurrah and Wade returned to the phone."
"Ok Aaron, I found you a solution. Hold on..."
There was a knock at the door, and Erin's mom went to get it. Looking through the peep hole, she saw a bald,
thin man with dark skin and some racing tattoos standing at the door, looking through the lens.
Amanda opened it, and welcomed Wade inside. When Erin saw him, her wings suddenly unfolded in excitement.
Wade's heart suddenly convulsed in his chest in a cartoony manner similar to the nightclub scene in "The
Mask".
"Sorry about that, but you're fine looking harpy."
Lisa rolled her eyes, but thought Aaron's situation WAS kind of humorous.
"I have your solution right here" announced the magician, holding up a necklace with another pendant that had
some generic looking runes on them.
"Unfortunately, the pendant you're wearing can't be taken off until the next fortnight, which is in another
two weeks. Wearing this pendant, however, will counteract the curse of the one you're currently stuck with.
May I?"
Wade then puts the necklace's around Erin's neck.
"This will absolve you of you're harpy form."
Aaron looked down, and saw that he was now no longer a harpy, nor female. He breathed sigh of relief.
