Although the box was a decent size, when Luke got past the packaging, all he found in the box was a cloth. It was a very simple cloth. It wasn't
even finished. It was like someone had just cut a snippet of cloth out of some old jumpsuit. The cloth was definitely synthetic, one of those new
materials that Luke didn't recognize. But it was just a piece of cloth.
Luke wondered what his uncle was up to. But when he tried to drop the cloth back in the box, the cloth stuck to him. He couldn't get it off. He
tried using his other hand but then the cloth doubled and he had two cloths, one stuck to each hand.
Just then his dad knocked on the door. "Oh, by the way. Your uncle John and your cousin Erick are coming over. They should be here any
minute."
Luke said, "Dad, I'm having a problem. Would you come in here please."
His dad walked in, "What's wrong son?"
Luke said, "I've got this cloth stuck to me."
Luke's dad grabbed the cloth and pulled but it did not come lose. It didn't stick to Luke's dad either. This cloth didn't stick to anything it
touched except Luke.
Luke's dad asked, "Is this the gift from uncle John?"
Luke said, "Yes."
Luke's dad said, "Then don't worry about it. It's a good gift and if you're still having trouble figuring out how to use it then he can explain when
he gets here."
Luke's dad left and Luke tried to get dressed. But even though the cloth did not stick to anything except Luke, it made it difficult to get dressed
because his fingers were stuck together by the cloth. He hadn't even managed to put underwear on when his uncle burst in the room.
Luke yelled, "Hey, knock first."
John said, "Don't worry. I see you got the gift. You're all ready as you are for what comes next."
