... two pairs of elven ears.
Samantha: They're finally here!
Ruby: Hang on, I'll get the costumes.
S: I want to see what we look like with them on. Can we try them on first?
R:Alright.
Both girls put on the ears.
S: You look cute. Hee, hee.
R: You too! Okay, lets take them off - ouch! Mine won't come off!
S: Mine neither! I can feel them. Ruby, I think these are our real ears now!
R:Uh, I think you're getting shorter.
S:You too! You're getting freckles.
R:You're getting them too. Our clothes are changing.
S:They're shrinking with us, the tips of our shoes just got pointed and curled up, and I think our voices are getting higher!
R: No kidding - I sound like I swallowed an entire tank of helium. I think both of us are about 2 feet tall now, and each of our ears is a foot
long!
S:Hee, hee! I guess we don't need costumes anymore.
This is more than I bargained for!
R: What will our friends think of us?
I hope they don't make too much fuss.
S: You're rhyming, Ruby. You know that, right?
The urge to do so is impossible to fight.
R: I know what you mean - I can't stop myself.
I guess it makes sense if you're an elf.
S:At least we're cute, right? Let's have a pillow-fight!
R:Hee,hee!
Wait for me!
So the two elf girls had a pillow-fight, and then went to bed.
S: At first I thought that this was strange,
but now I think I like the change!
R: This is the best thing that's happened to me ever.
I hope we stay like this forever!
S: Yes, me too.
It's fun being an elf with you!
So they both went to sleep with smiles on their faces.
What happens when they wake up in the morning?
