A blast of fresh, clean, very warm air struck Matthew in the face, and he stared, completely confused by the
sight before him, slowly standing as he slowly moved toward the edge, his eyes darting nervously around the
other side of... well whatever it was. His eyes grew wide as a a slender, feminine form stepped from the trees
on the other side, her beauty so extravagant that he fell to his knees before he could move any further,
unable to take his eyes off of the strange, pale woman who stepped closer to the doorway, and beckoned to him.
Somehow, he could not help himself, she said nothing to him, but it was as if his mind had shut off entirely,
nothing in him registered to question what was happening, though perhaps that was due to his sheer lack of
caring, this was something strange, Something new, and it felt absolutely AMAZING. As he stepped through the
gateway, something in the air around him changed... he felt as if he where somehow leaving a part of his life
behind him, and he managed to glance back behind him as the gate closed quietly.
"Welcome..." The strange woman spoke, her voice beautiful, yet... cold. She reached out quietly, one of her
incredibly soft, elegant hands brushing his cheek. Matthew shivvered under her touch, and swallowed quietly
before he managed to speak.
"Who are you?" His voice was soft, but cautious as the man awaited his answer.
"I am the new Queen of the Winter Court, our realm has been reopened, and with it our kind will rise again,
but the Summer Court must be reborn with us, or nothing but madness would ensue, you once new me from school,
the girl Amy, but now I am more, and soon, you shall be too." She quietly turned behind her, and the Queen
gave an expression of what was clearly discomfort. "This region was not meant for me, but I have chosen you to
be its ruler, you will be my equal, my counterbalance, and you will wield incredible power." She lifted a
hand, and a goblet appeared out of nowhere, resting gently in her palm as she held it out to him. Matthew
stared at it for a moment, and then, slowly reached out, lifting it to his lips and drank the contents.
The Winter Queens eyes seemed to flash a bright green, feline slitted eyes focusing on him as she smiled,
then stepped back, offering him an elegant bow. "Welcome to your lands my Queen." And quietly she turned,
slipped away suddenly. Matthew tried to respond, but suddenly his entire body began to feel strange.....
