All too soon Ozzy emerged from the back room followed by the wait staff who immediately began readying the bar for it’s coming influx of customers. “Alright dancers! Listen up! I need you guys to be ready to perform in 30 minutes! You can fresh up, watch TV, whatever you like. I’ll call each of you in turn over the break room speakers. When called you can leap on the bar and start your routine. Each routine will be five minutes, then you will be auctioned. Feel free to pose, flex, whatever you like during the auction. Each of you will get a bonus of 15% of your auction prices though out the evening, so do whatever you can to raise those bids! After you are auctioned you can leap to the table that bought your services, but don’t start dancing till all the auctions are over! Now hit the break room!”
The boys launched themselves from the tables as one forming a shouting, howling mob as they ran for the break room, their hair and tails flying behind them. Once they burst into the break room, Rufus and Onca began talking excitedly to each other, and quickly took control of the Nintendo console.
Bane decided he wanted to relax and leapt onto the large couch and sprawled on it. Fennec quickly joined him and sprawled from the opposite end. Their legs and feet lay touching and parallel. Neither was breathing hard and both were grinning.
“Dude, that was amazing. I have never experienced anything like that! The joy and the freedom are incredible!” Bane’s tail thumped the couch as he spoke
“Yeah, in truth I had forgotten how much fun it is! I wonder why?” Fennec looked thoughtful for a moment, but it quickly passed and he was grinning again. “You have some amazing moves for a rookie. You are the first who can keep up with me.”
Bane flushed slightly. “Thanks, in truth I was running completely on instinct. My body just knew exactly what to do and how.”
Fennec nodded, “That’s how it is for all of us. You know, it’s strange. I leave here, and the world seems to go back to grey. I want to come back, but I can never remember exactly why, except for the money of course. Then I get here, and it’s a total rush. Funny thing is, right now I can’t remember my name, I am just Fennec!” The fox boy laughed and stroked Banes leg with his foot.
To Bane the sensation of having his leg stroked was electric, he lay back into the couch and growled contentedly as Fennec grinned at him. “You know Fennec, who gives a crap about the outside? We are here now, and this is a total blast. I don’t even care who I used to be. I’m Bane, we are together, and that’s all that matters.” Bane ran his own foot down Fennec’s leg eliciting several yips.
Fennec grinned at the wolf boy, “Ah, so you do like me?”
Bane’s tail thumped the couch as he answered. “Of course, you are the sexiest creature I have ever seen. I liked you the moment I first saw you, and your dancing is just amazing.”
Now it was the fox boy’s turn to blush. “Thanks, you’re pretty sexy yourself with those ears, your tail and ass are awesome.”
Bane had never been talked to like that, but now in the moment it made him smile from ear to ear. “Thanks man, your tail and ass are pretty awesome too.”
With that the fox and wolf boys laughed together as they stroked each other’s legs playfully.
“Want to hang out after the show”, Fennec asked with a hopeful look in his eyes.
“Sounds like a lot of fun, of course I’ll hang with you.” Bane smiled at his new friend.
With that answer Fennec did a fist pump and proclaimed, “Yes!”
After some more laughter the talking stopped as the fox and wolf boys lay quietly on the couch stroking each other. The panther and roo boys were totally involved in their game and did not even seem to notice what transpired behind them.
All too soon Ozzy’s voice came over the PA to announce the start of the show. Rufus was called first and he left the room at a dead run followed shortly by the eruption of cheers as he leapt on the bar and started his routine.
The TV switched by it’s self to a live feed from the bar that allowed the other dancers to watch Rufus perform and the crowd reaction. Fennec and Bane sat up, their ears focused like radar dishes on the screen. Onca began to stretch his muscles, but looked very relaxed.
The customers looked like all manner of beast men. None wore clothing of any sort, but all had wads of green bills in their paws and hands.
Rufus danced a very respectable routine with lots of gestures and playing to the crowd. He received cheers and applause at the end of his routine. The bidding was spirited with him being sold for $3500. The creatures at the table quickly pooled their money and paid the bid as Rufus took station on top of their table.
Fennec leaned over and quietly whispered into Bane’s ear, “The rookies are always called first. They try and build the excitement and the money. The later you get called the better Ozzy thinks you are.”
Onca got called next and he quickly bolted from the room and appeared on the screen. Once again cheers erupted from the crowd. The panther boy danced with a cat-like fluid grace that was impressive. He stretched his lithe body in some ways that were almost sexual. He purred and pawed at the crowd suggestively, and they responded by cheering and egging him on. His bids went up to $4200, and he quickly took his place on the winning table.
“Break a leg wolf boy”, Fennec said as he unexpectedly kissed Bane.
All Bane could do was grin and turn beat red as he ran from the room in response to Ozzy’s call.
