“Our fairy wings!” Ruby exclaimed.
As requested, they were held together by a U-frame which could be slipped down the back of a dress or gown and give the illusion that they actually sprouted from their backs. Wings with straps were so fake looking to them.
“They’re beautiful!” Samantha shouted as she carefully lifted a set out of the box. Holding them up to the light, they seemed to almost sparkle as the light shone through the colorful membrane like a stained glass window; and the material felt exactly like an insect’s wings.
“They seem so real.” Ruby noted.
“Yeah, makes me wish the site I found them on didn’t just up and vanish without warning. I guess we were lucky.” Samantha said, returning the wings to the box.
“I’ll say! Go get the costumes, and we’ll try them on.” Ruby suggested.
“Right.” Samantha agreed.
