Lydia stood listening to Cally's rant as she thought about her next move. Clearly they two of them had
gotten off to a bad start and if things were going turn out well, something radical had to happen. Fortunately
the ring gave her the power to make radical changes. But what changes to make? Anything she did to Cally would
only make her even more angry. Unless... Cally had mentioned that she had planned to wipe Lydia's mind, maybe
that was the answer. Turning to Cally, who was still frozen in mid lunge, Lydia pointed the ring and said "you
remember nothing."
Cally's face took on a vacant and serene look and she stopped her rant in mid-syllable. Deciding it was
safe to do so, Lydia pointed the ring and said "able to move." Immediately Cally crumpled to the floor in a
heap. Lydia ran over to her and shook her a couple times calling her name but Cally remained unresponsive.
With a sinking feeling Lydia realized that her command to Cally had completely wiped Cally's memory. The poor
girl literally didn't remember anything, not her name, not how to talk, not even how to move or how to stand.
Lydia immediately moved to use the ring to restore Cally, but then she lowered the ring in disgust. The
ring was what had caused this mess in the first place. The three word limit on commands was proving to be a
huge hindrance. If she wanted to make things right, she would need more than three words. Suddenly she
remembered Cally's purse and the artifacts inside it. Walking over and looking inside, she saw a number of
strange items inside. She pulled out a vial, a watch, a medallion, a remote, a CD, yet another ring and a pair
of necklaces. Also inside was a small book with the words "Instructions" printed on the cover.
Deciding that perhaps one of the other artifacts might accomplish what the ring couldn't, Lydia began reading...
