He watched the large clock tick by slowly wandering why his dad bought such a thing. The grandfather clock stood at the end of the hallway, very intimidating like in a manor that seemed to greet or mock those who came up to it. It's Roman numeraled face held five different hands that made no sense turning both ways. The second hand, the minute hand, the hour hand, and two others one faster than the rest and one slower. As the boy watched the clock he felt it was watching him. With curiosity finally overwhelming him he decided to play with the hands.
