"Hey Tom, check out this dusty old thing!" Sasha exclaimed, rubbing the dust off an ancient looking lamp she had
found in the cupboard of their new apartment.
There was a loud bang and suddenly the lamp started spewing out a strangely coloured gasp. Sasha tried to drop
it, but it was stuck to her hands! Tom was running for her even before she called for help, but before he could
reach her the smoke rapidly contorted itself into a roughly humanoid shape.
"Many thanks for releasing me, mistress." A voice echoed from within the smoke. "I am the genie of this lamp,
one of the ten created by the great Egyptian pharaohs thousands of years ago. Make a wish and I shall grant it."
Sasha shrugged and looked at Tom, then a wicked grin spread over her face. "Alright, but first I want you to
close your eyes and cover your ears, Tommy." She used his pet name, giggling.
When Tom opened his eyes again things were very different.
