Looking more like a high-schooler from a school play, the Wizard inspired chuckles rather than fear as the smoke and light of his flashy entrance faded away. Maybe 16 years old, with freckles and a pug nose, he seemed more like somebody's kid brother than a threat.
Brian snorted. "You're the great and powerful Wizard? Sorry guys, looks like I goofed when I said he was powerful..."
The Wizard smiled. "Oh, you aren't wrong, elf. In fact, I think you are right - just right to replace my lovely Mika." He made a rapid series of gestures with his hands, sending a sudden ball of yellow-white light that knocked Brian backwards and completly enveloped him.
Almost at the same instant, the Wizard spun and used another gesture to block Christine's fireball and deflect Mike's arrow. Joe blinked, unable to use his breath weapon with the others so close, and awed by the young Wizard's incredible speed.
The boy smiled at the three members still standing. "You should not judge a book by its cover. I am 327 years old. Mika is 132. He was a very accomplished lover - but thanks to you, he is now only good for making baby horses. For taking him from me, I should turn you all into horseflies and let you spend the rest of your lives buzzing around Mika's dung. However, I am not a vengeful person. Yo are all free to go."
Christine frowned. "What about our friend?" She pointed to where Brian was still lying on the ground, completely hidden by the bright glowing sphere.
"If he desires to leave, he can." The boy wizard grinned even wider. "But I have a feeling he will want to go back to the stable. Now, do not bother me or mine again, or you will feel my wrath!' He raises his voice to sound threatening, but it cracks and he sounds silly instead. "Damn!" He vanishes in a puff of smoke.
The light around Brian began to finally fade away. As thier friend was revealed, the rest of the party suddenly understood what the Wizard meant...
