Lauren finally regained the ability to form coherent sentences, and quickly found herself deluged with
questions. "Jen? It is Jen right? Yeah, I remember you we have English together. Okay, so Jen what is going
on? I mean look at this... me... them. Not that I'm complaining mind you. I mean seriously" she swept her hand
to indicate her body "what's to complain about? I mean they might have some reason to complain, but me, not so
much. But I just don't get how any of this is possible. I mean Julie drank her water, and then she just...
inflated. Meanwhile you make me drink that stuff from the tube and I end up a knockout. Although I was losing
weight before... and the others were gaining weight before... we were drinking our waters... did you spike our
drinks?"
Jennifer was disconcerted with just how fast Lauren was managing to piece the entire thing together. She
have to act fast. Based on the other three's continued screaming their state of panic had not subsided. But
that wouldn't last and when they did they'd discover Lauren and Jennifer standing there and there was a chance
that one of them just might be as quick on the uptake as Lauren. Reaching into her purse she took out the
Wonder Watch and held it up in front of Lauren's face.
Waving it back and forth until Lauren's expression went blank, Jen quietly and quickly said "Repeat after
me: I don't remember anything about the drinks being spiked, or a magical liquid, or Jennifer having anything
to do with any of it. I didn't see her in the bathroom. When Jen stops hypnotizing me, I will walk out the
door and go to my next class and forget about ever being hypnotized." Jennifer held her breath for a second,
then lowered the watch. Still in her trance, Lauren walked dreamily out the door and disappeared.
