She heard someone else come in and made sure her stall was locked. She decided she had to find Kyle and make him undo this curse, so she hurriedly redressed.
Strangely, she left her bra off entirely, though her unconscious mind probably rationalized that she didn’t need it anyway.
But that hardly explained why she dropped it into the garbage as she left.
Outside again, the rashness of her decision hit home as the cooler air made her nipples stand up, outlined by the thin fabric of her shirt. She was suddenly glad of
the looser fit of her clothes as she tugged it towards the front to give her some slack. A voice sounded behind her.
“There you are. Are you all right? I tried to find you after practice but you…”
Dawn’s voice trailed off as she got a better look at her friend. Without the baggy cheerleader sweater to hide it, the changes in her upper body were now obvious,
as was her shorter height. They made what was wrong with her face snap into focus as well.
“Oh my God, Jennifer! You’re younger! But that’s impossible!”
“Shh.” Jennifer looked around as heads began to turn. “Not so loud.”
“But…but how?”
“The curse.”
Dawn’s eyes went wide. “The curse? But that’s just a story, right? Like, there’s no way it could be real.”
Jennifer grimaced. “Look again and tell me that.”
“Oh, Jennifer.” A look of pity. “What happened?”
“That little jerk, Kyle Perkins called me this morning. When I blew him off, he asked me ‘Transform or dare?’”
Dawn shuddered as a tingle moved through her body. “Oh no!” she wailed. “Don’t you remember the legend? After your turn, you pass the curse along. You just
said it to me!!”
Jennifer gasped. “Oh no. I’m sorry, Dawn. I’ll just ignore it. Forget I said it.”
“No, no,” Dawn shook her head. “If I don’t do it with you, I might end up being transformed by someone else.”
“What can we do?”
