"I'll go first!" Kelly snatched up the dice and started to work them between her hands. She gave Tim a look, she thought he was pretty cute but, like most guys, he tried not to give her the idea the feeling was mutual.
With a flick of her wrist the dice were off on the table and came up with a total of seven. She went to move her piece but it took the liberty itself; sliding along seven paces. Not a moment after it stopped the slot on the side of the board she pointed out earlier slid a card out. The group looked around at each other, puzzled but intrigued.
"Game looks old but plays pretty slick." Phil said as Kelly picked up the card and read it aloud.
"'The game had to start, and you were so eager, now if I don't say, you look like a beaver'?" Kelly looked around at everyone who was just as equally confused.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Tim asked.
"Not sure." Sara took the card from Kelly and looked it over but the words were all that was on it.
"Who is next then?" Phil asked.
"I'll go." Mary took the dice up and shook them briefly in her hand before being stopped by a loud gasp from Kelly who covered up her mouth with both her hands. They all looked at her and leaned over to see what the matter was.
Her hands pressed out from her face as a slight muzzle brought her nose and mouth out slightly. Whiskers began to stick out from her cheeks and a darkening around her nostrils was also creeping in. To cap it off her two front teeth began to grow and push her mouth open, bringing a wincing pain to Kelly's face. Just as quickly as the changes came they stopped and Kelly stooped over the table, breathing hard.
"What was that." She said with a slight lisp.
"Oh my god Kelly," Sara started, "you look like a beave..." then Sara looked down at the card in her hand and saw the words again but in a new light. Sara gasped and dropped the card to the table while the rest were trying to make sense of it all in their own hands.
Mary reached over to Kelly to comfort her but in doing so the dice fell out of her hands and rolled along the table before coming to a stop on...
