Theres a shiny metallic frisbee like object partly hidden
under some grass and bush a mile or so away( oh about the length of 13 sheets
of plywood)
In your new altered sense the thing looks like a fairly big crashed flying saucer
and you run that mile and find yourself looking at some very rich kids discarded
Jupiter 1 toy from the 1960's.
( lets just get you up to Barbie and Ken size )
You climb aboard the ramp of this long abandoned flying hovercraft and
note the Clinton True Start lawnmower engine sitting where the star drive
aught to be.
You also gratefully note the Space Family Robinson plastic dolls
sitting on the flight deck.
Basically this rich 1960's kid was really really into
Lost in Space.
You topple over the Will Robinson doll, and a struggle ensues as you
steal Will's clothing, which seems about your fit.
You explore the many decks of this rather roomy hovercraft-dollhouse,and
note Robot and Dr Smith lying piled up against the hovercrafts
fuel tanks, which seem to be fully topped up after half a century.
A little more exploring of Jupiter brings you to the compartment where the
ships radio control servomotors and tube type electronics
lie.
They used needle dial meters in those days, and LED's and LCD's were
still a decade or so away from common use.
You locate the On/Off switch ,which seems to have come
loose in the crash a half century ago.
You gently tap the loose wire to the contacts, and the shower
of sparks tells you the 6 volt battery still has juice.
Leaving the RC compartment briefly you return to the flight
deck and gaze out the windows, somewhat cracked but still
intact, and in the windows reflection you see the 8 track stereo
unit positioned behind the dolls.
Ever after a half century, its lamps still glow away...
