Kat muttered some incomprehensible words from her book, and pointed her stick at Dan. The tip flashed, and Dan stumbled backwards onto the closed door. His clothes were completely gone; disappeared.
"What did you do to my clothes...!?" Dan quickly covered himself, as grey fuzz started to grow from his fingers, hands and arms. It spread to his lean shoulders and over his fit, flat chest, covering his crotch and back. His sex organs were sucked into his body, becoming internal, leaving Dan with nothing to cover anyway.
The fuzz grew between his fingers and underarms, covering the palms of his hands. Oddly, it did not touch his neck, legs, or butt, but it did leave a ring of bare skin around his neck. Soon, it looked like Dan was wearing a fully sleeved grey leotard of some sort.
Dan was shocked speechless, and could only stare at himself and at his sister, his arms held up in front of him. He winced a bit as fluffy white feathers grew to make a collar of sorts around his neck, still leaving an area of bare skin. He picked at it with a feathery finger.
"Dan, I have never liked you. With my new witch powers our mother has given me the permission to turn you into an animal as practice. I'm thinking an ostrich would be the perfect thing."
Dan managed to squeak out "I am going to become an ostrich?"
"Well, more like a half-ostrich. I'm still new at this."
Kat flicked her wand and Dan's legs and butt faded to become chalky white. Dan stared at his foot. The big toe absorbed its neighbor, and the three remaining toes melted together to form a second large toe. The white foot became longer and more muscular overall, as his leg muscles grew more prominent. His legs became a bit longer, but not much thicker. His four toes elongated as the nails became small talons. A similar talon grew from each heel.
Dan's grey coat only grew a little during the transformation, and his legs retained their human knees. His neck, however, changed radically. It became thicker at the base, and began to lengthen. It was six inches long; a foot long; two feet long. His head became a weight that Dan had to concentrate to support. He had to reach up with his fuzzy arms to help hold it in place. His neck finally stopped growing at two-and-a-half feet long, and its muscles developed quickly to easily support his human head.
Kat had to suppress a giggle as she waved her wand again.
Dan's head wobbled back and forth as his black hair became feathery. His lips extended only an inch or two from his face. Dan still had a nose, but it was smaller than it had been. His eyes grew larger, as well as the irises in them, becoming more bird like, but the whites of his eyes were still visible.
Kat asked "So Dan, what do you think?"
Dan angrily craned his neck down and reached up with his still human arms to feel his new face. He felt a sudden pressure and laid a huge ostrich egg right there on the floor as his ears were sucked into the sides of his head.
