Kylie grimaced in pain as Laura, now Wonder Gal in the flesh, twisted her arm. "Ow!" she protested. "Okay, look,
I released them. You can let go now."
Wonder Gal didn't release her. Not yet. "I'm not going to let you go just so you can start up again. I want you
to open the doors and let everyone out. Then we're going to talk about you swearing a solemn oath to never use
your powers again for evil."
The sorceress blew a few dark strands of hair from her eyes. "That doesn't work for me," she said. "What's to
stop you from killing me once I do all of that? You've already said you wouldn't hesitate to break my back if I
tried anything." Kylie tried to glare at the super-heroine but her position didn't allow it without a sharp pain
in her shoulder.
"Nothing," replied Wonder Gal. "You'd just better hope my sense of justice is stronger than my sense of
vengeance."
As they spoke, Kylie was quickly hatching a plan. She couldn't affect Laura, not directly, but there was a whole
gym full of subjects who could be changed to suit her needs. And since Wonder Gal had no way to completely
restrict Kylie's movement or her powers, she had a chance to get out of it. As she blew hair from her eyes, the
sorceress twitched her fingers. As she attempted to glare, she clenched her fists and wiggled her toes. Slowly,
her magic spread out into the room to find its target.
