Dustin and Ian were out the door, after scarfing down breakfast, and on their way to school. It was only a few blocks away, so there was no reason to take a bus or for their parents to drive them. The walk also gave them the chance to familiarize themselves with the neighbor hood and their new memories flowing. Everyone they walked by barely paid any attention to the two-headed boy walking down the street, but of course this was their norm now. Most of the neighbors were used to seeing Ian and Dustin by now. Ever since... the boys couldn't remember but they knew they weren't always like this or something else was different. They quickly dropped those thoughts though.
As the boys continued walking, they came to a junction. Both ways lead to school, Dustin remembered them usually taking the faster route. The one just in front of them. He stopped by the crosswalk so he could push the button to cross the street. Ian on the other hand remembered something else. He kept walking, which made the two stumble. Ian looked over to his twin, not angry, but a hint of annoyance in his voice. "What'd you stop for bro?"
"Don't we usually take the crosswalk?" Dustin asked confused.
"Yeah I think we normally due, but didn't we plan to meet someone today before school." Ian tried explaining. "Yesterday or, the new memory yesterday... we were going to meet..."
"Oh that's right." Dustin said, the memory returning to him, but a little foggy. They were going to meet their best friend or friends. He looked down at the watch on his arm. Dustin and Ian had the habbit of switching off who carried their grandfather's watch; today was his turn. "We're meeting them at 7:30 at the... the..." He couldn't remember for the life of him where.
"I don't remember either, but I'm sure it will come back to us when we see it." Ian glanced at the watch on his brother's arm too. "And we'd better hurry or we'll be late." With that, the twins took off down the other way.
