Dave decides to have some random fun while testing his pen's powers.
Steve the mail room boy, who delivers the office mail, and handles shipping is a short college kid with a bad
case of acne. Currently, the new intern, who is also the son of a corporate VP, is giving the little guy a
hard time because he is wearing better clothes. Maybe if he had to walk a mile in the poor kid's shoes? Hm?
Why not!
Dave writes, "Steve McCall's mind and soul now reside in Karl Uberfeldt's body. And Karl Uberfeldt's mind and
soul are in Steve's former body. They each have their own as well as each other's memories. So Steve in
Karl's body can use Karl's cash card because he knows the PIN. Similarly, if Karl in Steve's body is dumb
enough to try to get cash transferred from the Uberfeldt checking accounts to his new body's accounts, he'll
end up in prison. So the new Karl better change his passcodes ASAP.
Dave chuckles, as the two suddenly are silent. They stare at each other in disbelief.
"What did you do to me, you little freak?" shrieked Steve's voice.
"Heh,heh, I didn't do anything, and I think you better look in the mirror to see who the little freak is now,
Steve!" Karl's voice said pointedly. Then he added, "I guess God does have a sense of humor as well as
justice."
"God indeed," murmured Dave as he put the pen tip to his lips as he thought of his next action. Karl did have
a nice body, but Dave figured by writing the right stuff he could make his own body better, perhaps younger
and wealthier than the Uberfeldts. His pen seemed to have no limits beyond his own imagination.
He glanced out the window. Some teenage toughs were picking on a smaller boy. No, they were robbing him. Too
bad the boy can't become a hulking super hero when angered. Oh, right, maybe he can!
Sammy was crying as Rafael took his lunch money. His knee was bloody from where they had slammed him to the
pavement. He looked up through his fogging glasses, and suddenly he felt a surge of strength. He was growing.
His shirt stretched and ribbed to shreds. Rafael dropped Sammy's money as he looked up at the ten foot giant
green man standing over him. Raul gasped,"Incredible!" Then he turned and ran.
