Gladdys and mom quickly lay out the snacks for the guests while I use the Voice memo app on my iPhone to help
me speak my mind to Nick and his buddies while I'm a werewolf.
"You may not need that," Claire said "remember, me and Nick volunteer our times to help the deaf students."
I remember both Claire and Nick use sign language to speak to the deaf students at school, I just kept the
memos just in case she's busy.
Nick arrived at 5 sharp with 3 others, "Hey buddy, nice place." 3 boys around my age come in and Nick
introduces me to them "Nick, I like you to meet Damon." A boy with shoulder length brown hair. "Stuart." with
short blond hair and he says "My friends call me Stuie." and the 3rd one is an african american with with
cornrows "and Adam."
Ashley rushed Nick and greeting him with a hug "You made it." Nick seems to be surprised by Ashley and amazed
"Ashley, have you been working out? That's some grip you have."
Gladdys says "Nick, there's something about us you need to hear about, We..have
something that makes us different. Something that happens when we hit
sixteen."
Adam renarks "Oh, you mean you turn smoking HOT at sixteen?"
My mother said "James said that same thing last night but no."
Gladdys says "Something in us...awakens. Some people call
it a blessing. Some people call it a curse. I think it's wonderful.
Claire thinks it's wonderful. All the girls think it's wonderful.
Even James and Barbara thinks it's wonderful
But...it's contagious."
"Contagious?" Nick says while he, Damon, Stuart and Adam cover their mouths.
Mom chuckles, "No..it's not contagious like that. You need
more than to just breathe our air....but this gift, this blessing...it
awakens...desires in people who have it."
Nick says "Are you telling me that you're cool with me hooking up with Ashley?"
Gladdys nodded. "Yes, but Nick...you need to
understand...she's very contagious. And I'm not asking you to just be
her boyfriend or her partner. If you're with Ashley tonight, or
any of the girls here...you'll be more than that forever. Same with you
three."
"Uhh, I don't understand this, do you understand boys?" Damon says "Personally, I'm drawing a blank." Stuart
and Adam just shook their heads.
"Let me explain," You say "What their trying to say, that you'll be mated with Ashley. What..awakens in us is
lycanthropy. We're werewolves. Claire started forming a pack not long
after her first change. The desire, at least in girls. I'm the alpha male of the pack."
Nick and the boys stared at us with horror. "W-w-w-werewolves?"
I said "Nick, I know you must be surprised to hear this news, but we didn't invite you all to be our pray,
only to help find mates for Ashley, Heather, Kelly and Lily. Just think of it but we're not forcing this life
on you. I chose this life because I knew Claire sense grade school and even you know me that long. I will not
hurt my friends."
Nick thinks about this.
