This story takes place in Amestris (the world of Full Metal Alchemist - in the 2003 anime).
The person (if you can even call him that anymore) is Shou Tucker.
He lost his daughter when Scar took her life, but he transmuted her into a chimera first.
Afterwards (through a series of events too complex to get into without seeing the anime),
now a chimera himself, he has managed to reconstruct an 8-year-old Nina (the age she
would've been if she had lived), but because his will was too weak, he couldn't attach a soul
to it - leaving him with a lifeless doll - perfect, but lifeless.
He was last seen drawing alchemic patterns trying to bring her back to life - now that's just
sad!
But what if he actually succeeded? What if he DID bring her back to life somehow?
(Come on, FMA fans, don't tell me you haven't wanted to see that!)
How would he do it? Would he create a robot brain, program it with all the memories and
feelings he wanted her to have, and then surgically place it inside her skull, creating a
cyborg?
Would he make like Dr. Frankenstein, strap her to a table, raise it up to have her struck by
lightening to revive her into an undead, but sweet and cute little monster?
Would he risk human transmutation - going to the Gate and begging for his daughter's
soul in exchange for a part of himself he wouldn't miss too much?
Or would he just give up on doing it himself, freeze her in a cryogenic chamber, record his
message, and leave her there for someone in the future (our time) to bring back somehow?
The choice is yours - what will he do?
